Meet Dr. Firooz Mashhood, M.D.
Professional Background
Dr. Mashhood graduated from National University of Iran in 1975.
He joined his family in 1977, who had already migrated to the United States.
After completion of internship at Frankford hospital affiliated with Pennsylvania State University in 1983, he participated in Residency program of University of California in Irvine. (UCI)
He completed his residency in physical medicine and Rehabilitation in 1985.
Clinical Experience
He practiced in Long Beach California where he had the opportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient patient care.
He worked with internationally known spine orthopedic physician at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Mashhood has been practicing in Las Vegas Nevada since 1988.
He served as Medical Director at University Medical Center Rehab Services for 12 years where he contributed to inpatient and trauma rehabilitation services.
Specialized Expertise
He has extensive experience in Musculoskeletal/Pain Management.
Established first in patient pain management and traumatic brain injury rehab program at UMC.
He has been trained in myofascial pain management by one of the founders of concept of myofascial pain syndrome Dr. David Simons.
Dr. Mashhood is a provider of most major private and government funded insurance companies.
